What did this landscape look like before it became home to the University of Washington? How has it changed since the first building was built here 125 years ago? Which histories have been popularized by those in power; and which have quietly been forgotten? The Husky History Exploration highlights ten landmarks significant to the university’s natural; indigenous; colonial; and political histories. Visit these spaces in any order; and learn about the University of Washington’s past and present. Write down the secret code at each location on the Husky History Passport you received at your A&O Part 3 Connection Meeting or pick up a passport at the Dawg Daze information booth. Fill in all ten codes; and you’ll be rewarded with a small exclusive prize and entered into a raffle for a t-shirt. Visit the First Year Programs office in Mary Gates Hall (MGH 120); or the Commuter and Transfer Commons (HUB 141) to redeem your prize. The Husky History Exploration can also be accessed on our website.
