Did you know UW has thirteen libraries on the Seattle main campus?!
Whether you’re a new or returning student, join us for a walking tour of the UW Art Library, Drama Library, and Music Library — three amazing campus libraries — all located within walking distance of one another! You will be able to meet arts library staff, ask questions, and learn about Art Library resources, Drama Library resources, and Music Library resources. Whether you’re a UW arts major, or someone who enjoys the arts as hobbies, you’re welcome to join this tour!
The Art Library houses a collection of over 60,000 books focused on art, art history, and design, the Drama Library contains 35,000 books and plays, while the Music Library boasts over 70,000 books and musical scores. This doesn’t even cover the thousands of digital resources also available through the Arts Libraries! Join us to learn more.
The tour will begin at the Drama Library in Hutchinson Hall. Tour guides will escort you to the Music Library, and the Art Library, all located within close walking distance to one another.
Can’t make this tour? Students are encouraged to check out the Art Library in the Art Building, the Drama Library in Hutchinson Hall, and the Music Library in the Music Building during Dawg Daze! Book displays at each library will highlight new books and special gems from the collections.
Lastly, there will be an Art Library Open House on October 1 from 1-4pm and a Drama Library Open House on October 9 from 1-4pm. Both will include snacks, beverages, and music. We hope you can attend!
