Tour of the Suzzallo and Allen Libraries
Suzzallo and Allen Libraries Suzzallo Library, Seattle, WA, United StatesThe Suzzallo and Allen Libraries is the largest library of the eleven libraries on campus. It houses over 2 million print volumes spanning all the major disciplines. There is over 350,000 square feet of freely accessible space, with more than 600 study seats. Give your research a boost by tapping into the rich expertise of Suzzallo and Allen Libraries’ professional librarians and staff. In academic year 2026/27, we will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the construction of the iconic Suzzallo Library.

Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind – Socialist Movie Night with YDSA UW
Suzzallo and Allen Libraries Suzzallo Library, Seattle, WA, United StatesYoung Democratic Socialists of America at UW is hosting a screening of cult classic Hayao Miyazaki film Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, a hopeful story about rebuilding a world destroyed by unbridled capitalism and fascism. This event is for anyone interested in finding community on campus with like-minded individuals concerned with ecological safety, the dangers of capitalism, and building community. YDSA UW is the largest openly socialist organization on campus, committed to fighting for students’ rights, union protections, LGBTQ+ rights, and public transit. The screening will be held in Allen Auditorium.
